Chemicals on Tires?

Italy, Ferrari's native country, is a very special race for the Scuderia team, but this year, Monza was the place of a strange representation. While the European Commission tries to set up the REACH regulation to protect people against dangerous chemicals, an employee of Bridgestone was photographed with special protective equipment and a protective mask on his mouth. This photography can be seen all over the web. It reminds me a previous season when Bridgestone was accused to put special chemicals on tires to get more grip straight away, as it may be used in Karting.
